Founded in 1990 by the Kong brothers, Kong Chong Mun and Kong Kam Weng, Xiang Keong Air Cond Engineering Sdn Bhd has grown from a humble family business into a leader in Johor’s HVAC industry. With skills honed in Singapore, the founders brought unmatched expertise and a strong commitment to high-quality, professional, and efficient solutions.

Over 35 years, our dedication to integrity and tackling complex projects has set a high standard in the industry. The seamless transition to the second generation in 2022, led by Ms Shelly Kong, ushered in a new era of rapid growth.

Under our current leadership, we have expanded our client portfolio, partnered with both local and internationally renowned companies, and achieved new sales milestones. Today, with state-of-the-art facilities in Johor Bahru, Malacca and Selangor, we employ over 100 skilled professionals, continuing our legacy of excellence and superior service.

Our Key Milestones

Throughout our 35-year history, we have continually evolved to meet the demands of the growing HVAC industry, achieving significant milestones along the way.

1990

Xiang Keong Air Cond Engineering Sdn Bhd was established in Johor, Malaysia.

2010

Acquired our first factory in Johor Bahru.
Secured our first project valued at over RM1 million, with a total contract sum of RM2.36 million for Seagate TTJ’s cleanroom project.

2014

Achieved certification as a CIDB G7 Contractor.

2018

Completed our first overseas project in Thailand for Innovative Gloves Sdn Bhd, primarily focused on heating ductwork installation.

2022

Transitioned to second-generation leadership under Ms Shelly Kong.
Established our first subsidiary for ductwork engineering – Duct Max Engineering Sdn Bhd.
Customised a full set of machines for steel accessories production, introducing new technology to boost efficiency and production volume.

2024

Reorganised our team into specialised departments for greater operational efficiency.
Achieved a new record with RM85 million in annual sales.
